My Experience With MULTIVIEW

I run a small advertising and marketing firm located in NJ, my clients are mainly Plastic Surgeons and Physicians, I used to advertise in the Online Directory that Multiview put out. I started receiving calls from One of the sales reps on a constant basis to advertise in their current online newsletter that I am told gets emailed every week to Plastic Surgeons.

I told the rep on every call that we did not have a budget for it, she kept pursuing me for weeks on end, finally one day she caught me running from one of my clients to another and told me that she had an offer of $1000 for 13 Weeks of advertising and that I did not have to pay it for 3months and that all she needed from me was a verbal ok, I finally said ok. that was in July or Early August and the Ads would to run Early September.

The first week of September came and went no ads were to be found, I called up they said no problem and then magically an Ad appeared (I also sent them the first ad to run) My Rep called me to ask if I got any calls I said no, so one week went by the next week I did not see the ad again, I called my rep, she  was on vacation or not in the office I could not get a hold of her, finally I sent her an email that I wanted to cancel my ad with Multiview she got back to me and my answer was "well even if you cancel your still responsible for the bill" (Oh forgot to mention a week after I said ok, I received a bill for $2000.00) in which I did not agree to that cost.

I called my rep she said to me "Oh yea you agreed to run for 36 weeks" I told her I did not, so this is were the problem started, they also wanted to settle with me by paying them $200.00 and they would call it even, I spoke to my attorney and he told me that if they had nothing in writing that a court case would be a tough on for them and the reason I did not send them $200.00 is because they kind of twisted my arm to advertise and then they twisted the cost basis of the ad campaign as well, if they handled it differently we would not be here fighting over $200.00,

So now I start receiving calls from a collection agency that is asking for $2000, in my opinion Multiview uses bullying tactics to extort businesses to pay for something they are promised and do not receive  who knows where this will end up, I will post and update soon either way.
